 Welcome
to the ETU library, one of the oldest university libraries in Saint Petersburg.
It was founded in 1886 at the same time with the Institute of Electrical
Engineering (now Electrotechnical University) foundation.
The part of the library collection are Alexander III gifts, personal libraries
of P. Voinarovsky, N. Buligin, A. Popov and others which formed the basis
of the ETU library.Today the library collection contains 1 200 000 volumes
of books and over 27 000 items of magazines.
The library collection contains editions on different technical sciences,
social sciences, economics and economics fiction. Annual acquisition equals
to 30 000 items. The library receives more than 80 titles of periodicals.There
are over 10 000 readers in the library, 8 000 of them are students. Each
year more than 400 000 readers attend the library.
The ETU library consists of 8 units, 5 reading halls for 360-sits , 5
loan departments.Successful work of ETU library is defined by participation
in national and international programmes and projects devoted to the development
of libraries.
