International cooperation

ETU's international cooperation is aimed to the development of educational and research processes. The office of the Vice Rector for International Affairs and Quality Assurance, International Students Office and International Department are the organizational basis for the development and realization of ETUinternational co-operation.

The University has agreements on co-operation with more than 30 universities in the United Kingdom, the United States, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Finland, Poland, France, China and other countries.Cooperation agreements include students and teachers exchange, joint development of educational programs, mutual implementation of research projects. International students are paid good attention at the University.
At present, there are more than 500 students from Europe, Asia and Africa for whom the University provides the Russian language, physics and mathematics courses at the preparatory department as well as a good choise of full time programs. International students can choose programs leading to Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees, or to the Ph.D. They can also have internship.

Since 1999 we have introduced some courses in English. Every year ETU undergraduate and postgraduate students go to study and do research in the USA, Finland, Sweden and Germany for a semester or an academic year. The results of ETU research work are implemented in companies and research centers of the USA, Finland, China, France. The University co-operates with such companies as Motorola, Intel, Microsoft, AMD, Parsytec, with which education and research centers were established.

ETU participates in the major European programs: Tempus (Tacis), FP6. Traditionally the University works with international associations SEFI, EAIE, cooperates with national funds and organizations (CIMO, DAAD, Swedish Institute).
